Welcome! I’m Kate, a watercolour and mixed media artist living in Brisbane, Australia.
Having always been creative, I had the opportunity to learn watercolour painting while living in Manila, The Philippines. Returning to Australia years later, I joined a Watercolour art group as a way of making new friends in a new city, and continued to develop my own style.
My vibrant chicken artworks came about after watching my neighbour's funny ‘chooks’, as we call them in Australia, experimenting with the combination of watercolour paint, ink, and colourful paper feathers to bring their personalities to life.
Having exhibited in many group shows, three solo exhibitions and won a number of awards, my artwork is now held in private collections across Australia and in the USA, UK, Canada, Fiji, Singapore and New Zealand.
